ISLAMABAD, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) will host the two-day Pakistan-China Pharmaceutical and Healthcare B2B Investment Conference 2026 in Islamabad from Friday.
According to a statement issued by the SIFC on Monday, the conference aims to promote investment, technology transfer and industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
Jointly organized by the SIFC, the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, and the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), the conference will bring together Pakistani pharmaceutical, healthcare and biotechnology companies with Chinese investors, manufacturers, technology providers and industry representatives, the statement said.
The event is designed to serve as a business-to-business platform to facilitate commercial partnerships, explore investment opportunities and strengthen cross-border collaboration across the sector, added the SIFC.
The SIFC added that participants are expected to hold structured business meetings, networking sessions and investment discussions focusing on joint ventures, technology transfer, contract manufacturing, research cooperation and local production partnerships.
The conference aims to modernize Pakistan's healthcare ecosystem and enhance the competitiveness of its pharmaceutical industry through foreign investment and technological collaboration with Chinese companies, the statement added.
According to the SIFC, the event is expected to strengthen industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China by promoting long-term investment partnerships in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. ■
