ISLAMABAD, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan on Sunday expressed deep concern over the recent escalation in tensions between the United States and Iran, urging all sides to exercise restraint, the foreign ministry said.
Pakistan also urged both sides to take immediate steps toward de-escalation and uphold their commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, the ministry said in a statement.
It also reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy. ■
