KABUL, July 10 (Xinhua) - Five travelers lost their lives and 16 others sustained injuries as a passenger bus collided with a truck in Helmand province in southern Afghanistan on Friday, a statement of provincial Directorate for Information and Culture said.
The deadly accident occurred in Washir district due to carelessness of the drivers, the statement said, adding that among the injured, some were in critical condition.
This is the second road mishap in the southern region over the past week. ■
