KABUL, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Business agreements and memorandums of understanding worth more than 1 billion U.S. dollars were signed during business-to-business meetings and other sessions held alongside Afghanistan's fifth national and international industry and mining exhibition, the official media Bakhtar news agency said in a report on Tuesday.
According to the report, the agreements were concluded between Afghan and foreign companies participating in the exhibition, reflecting growing interest in investment and industrial cooperation.
Among the deals, 10 memorandums of understanding were signed between the Afghanistan Iron Smelting Association and an Iranian trade delegation on the supply of factory equipment and raw materials for the country's steel industry, the report said. ■
