JAKARTA, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves stood at 145.6 billion U.S. dollars at the end of June 2026, up from 144.9 billion dollars at the end of May, the country's central bank said on Tuesday.

Bank Indonesia said the increase was mainly driven by tax and services revenues, despite government external debt repayments and the central bank's rupiah stabilization measures in response to the high uncertainty of the global financial market.

"Going forward, Bank Indonesia believes that external sector resilience will remain strong, supported by adequate foreign exchange reserves and foreign capital inflows," the central bank said in a statement.

The central bank said it will continue to enhance synergy with the government in strengthening external resilience to maintain economic stability and support sustainable economic growth.
