MANILA, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Two passengers and the driver of a tricycle were killed, while three other passengers were seriously injured after the vehicle collided head-on with a sport utility vehicle in Sarangani province, southern Philippines, on Saturday, according to a local media report on Sunday.
Local police said the tricycle was carrying six people at the time of the accident. Three victims were declared dead upon arrival by nearby physicians, and three injured tricycle riders are now being treated at a hospital.
The driver of the SUV turned himself in to the authorities who responded to the incident. ■
