ASHGABAT, July 3 (Xinhua) -- A photo exhibition showcasing China's landmark modernization achievements and a seminar marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) were held Friday in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
The photo exhibition, featuring 30 photographs, was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan and Xinhua News Agency's Almaty Bureau.
The exhibition showcases the remarkable achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC at different stages of the country's development and offers visitors a vivid overview of China's development over the past century, giving them a more comprehensive understanding of the CPC's history, said Chinese Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ji Shumin.
The CPC has led China to secure remarkable development achievements thanks to its sound theoretical framework, ability to adapt to the times, and foresight in responding to the needs of the era, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan Ata Serdarov said at the seminar.
Noting that the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and the CPC hold regular meetings to exchange views on major issues and maintain communication through online channels, Serdarov expressed confidence that the friendly ties between the two parties would play an important role in further deepening bilateral cooperation. ■
