BEIJING, July 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted near East Coast of Honshu, Japan at 1615 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 53.3 km, was initially determined to be at 40.38 degrees north latitude and 142.39 degrees east longitude. ■
