BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, June 25 (Xinhua) -- The Food Festival 2026 is currently being held in Brunei's Tutong District as an initiative to boost economic development, expand business opportunities and position the district as a preferred destination for community and entrepreneurial events.
The five-day event officially opened on Wednesday and will continue until June 28, bringing together local entrepreneurs and the community through a showcase of food and beverage offerings.
The festival serves as a platform to highlight local businesses, particularly entrepreneurs in the food and beverage sector, while supporting domestic economic growth and tourism activities in Tutong District.
It provides traders with an opportunity to promote their products, enhance business exposure and connect with customers, while also encouraging greater participation in local entrepreneurship.
The event brings together a total of 60 vendors offering a wide range of food and drinks, including traditional local dishes, modern cuisine and popular favorites.
Organizers hope the festival will continue to contribute towards the growth of small businesses while promoting Tutong as a vibrant hub for community and economic activities. ■
