MANILA, June 24 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said Wednesday that it has issued its first digital solutions theme bond to finance a pool of eligible projects that support digital connectivity across Asia and the Pacific.
The notes from the 100-million-dollar 3-year issue will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, according to the ADB. It aims to promote digital investments in connectivity, public infrastructure, cybersecurity, government systems, public service delivery, and other digital solutions to advance inclusive and sustainable development.
The ADB said the bond could help cultivate digital highways to accelerate inclusive, resilient and technology-driven growth by enabling cutting-edge communication infrastructure to smart metering, among others. ■
