HANOI, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Two people were found dead at a forest fire site in Vietnam's central province of Ha Tinh on Saturday, the Vietnam News Agency reported, citing local authorities.
A fire broke out at noon in the Tay Xuan forest area in Ky Van commune, with local authorities and residents working together to contain the blaze, according to the report.
The victims, identified as a married couple from the commune, were found during firefighting operations. Local residents said the couple may have joined efforts to contain the fire and had likely died from smoke inhalation.
Authorities are investigating the incident. ■
