HANOI, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam welcomed the peace agreement reached between the United States and Iran and highly valued efforts that facilitated the pact, spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said on Monday, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
The Southeast Asian country called on relevant sides to promptly sign and fully implement the agreement, paving the way for a comprehensive and sustainable solution that will bring peace and stability to the Middle East, including the Strait of Hormuz, Hang stated.
The solution should be based on international law and the United Nations Charter, for the benefit of countries in the region and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and around the world, she added. ■
