JAKARTA, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Monday invited Germany to participate in Indonesia's critical minerals supply chain, including rare earths, as the two countries sought to deepen economic cooperation.
Speaking at a joint press conference during a state visit by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Prabowo said Indonesia was opening its doors to Germany across a broad range of strategic sectors.
The Indonesian leader said the two sides discussed strengthening ties in energy transition, energy security, education and employment.
He added that Indonesia was also inviting Germany to expand investment in the energy sector, downstream industries, electric vehicles, and the semiconductor industry. ■
