ALMATY, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan exported 12.2 million tonnes of grain and flour between September 2025 and March 2026, up 13 percent year on year, the country's Ministry of Agriculture said on Thursday.
The largest increase in shipments was recorded to Central Asia and Afghanistan, with exports to Uzbekistan rising 38 percent to 5 million tonnes and supplies to Kyrgyzstan jumping 50 percent to 474,000 tonnes.
Grain shipments to Afghanistan surged 58 percent to 2 million tonnes, while exports to Turkmenistan grew 44 percent to 197,000 tonnes.
Kazakhstan has forecast wheat and flour exports at 13.59 million tonnes for the current agricultural year. ■
