VIENTIANE, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Laos organized a training course on hospital management in the digital age to strengthen the capacity of hospital leaders and management teams, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to improve healthcare service quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
The training, held in Lao capital Vientiane from Tuesday to Thursday, covered key areas including hospital management, digital health information systems, medical technologies, technical risk management, and telemedicine, according to a report from the Center of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health on Wednesday.
The curriculum consisted of six modules focusing on strategic planning and leadership, quality and risk management, service delivery and human resource management, budgeting and financial sustainability, information systems and procurement processes, as well as emergency preparedness, response, and climate change.
Participants included representatives from central and provincial hospitals nationwide, as well as officials from relevant departments. ■
