NEW DELHI, May 29 (Xinhua) -- The Indian government has shared the names of over 2,680 people with the Bangladesh government for nationality verification, Spokesman of India's Ministry of External Affairs Randhir Jaiswal said on Friday.
Addressing a weekly media briefing in New Delhi, Jaiswal said that all illegal nationals who were staying in India would be "dealt with as per the law."
"Once this nationality verification is done, we will be in a position to deport these nationals of Bangladesh," added the spokesman.
He stated that these verifications were pending for more than five years. ■
