JAKARTA, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia is accelerating product standardization efforts to improve the competitiveness of domestic industries and strengthen market confidence in locally made goods, the industry minister said Tuesday.
The government is intensifying the implementation of the Indonesian National Standard across industrial sectors to ensure product quality and improve competitiveness in domestic and international markets, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said.
Emmy Suryandari, head of the Agency for Industrial Standardization and Services Policy, said that the priorities for 2026 include strengthening national standards monitoring, accelerating the development of green industries, and supporting the transformation to Industry 4.0.
"These initiatives are part of efforts to build a more competitive and sustainable industrial ecosystem," she said. ■
