BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's Tourism Development Department, in collaboration with Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), conducted an engagement and awareness session involving the country's registered licensed travel agencies and tourist guides.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the department said the session aimed to enhance understanding among industry professionals on the proper procedures for conducting tours safely, as well as the critical responsibilities held by travel agencies and tourist guides in managing visitor movements in an orderly, safe and compliant manner.
Ensuring that tourism operators possess a sound understanding of operational guidelines and restricted areas enables them to provide accurate and high-quality information to visitors, the statement said.
By upholding high standards of competence and professionalism, local operators and tourist guides not only enhance the overall visitor experience, but also contribute towards strengthening the safety, credibility, and image of Brunei's tourism industry. ■
