BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted southern East Pacific Rise at 1743 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 55.97 degrees south latitude and 122.42 degrees west longitude. ■
