BEIJING, May 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted Fiji Islands Region at 2114 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 17.16 degrees south latitude and 178.35 degrees west longitude. ■
