NEW DELHI, May 15 (Xinhua) -- The Indian Rupee fell to its new low on Friday, when it crossed the 96-mark against one U.S. dollar and remained at 96.07 during the intra-day trade.

The fall in the Indian currency was attributed to "severe global pressures," including a rise in international crude oil prices amid the ongoing Middle East crisis, strengthening of the U.S. dollar, and the continuous and heavy selling by foreign institutional investors, local media reported.
