KABUL, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 600 Afghan migrants detained in Pakistan have been released and returned to Afghanistan during the past week, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said on Thursday.
According to the statement, the migrants had been arrested mainly due to problems related to residency and stay permits.
The ministry said the returnees were provided with initial humanitarian assistance before being transferred to their home areas. ■
