ALMATY, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry said on Tuesday that it will redistribute 260,000 tons of oil exports in May via alternative routes following the suspension of shipments to Germany through the Druzhba pipeline, the Kazinform news agency reported.
Of the total, 100,000 tons of oil will be redirected to Russia's Ust-Luga port, while the remaining 160,000 tons will be sent via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. The rerouting is operational in nature and fully coordinated with shippers, the ministry said in a statement.
Annual oil production targets will remain unaffected, the ministry said.
On April 22, Kazakh Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov confirmed the suspension of Kazakh oil transit to Germany via Russia through the Druzhba pipeline. ■
