BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Brunei hosted the Asia-Pacific Food Forum on Wednesday, marking the country's first time staging the regional event.
In collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization, Brunei aims to accelerate agrifood system transformation through investment, science, innovation, and the empowerment of women and youth, while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, according to Brunei's Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
It gathered around 150 participants, including policymakers, farmers, academics, private sector players and development partners, to address challenges such as climate change, market volatility, food safety, and limited access to innovation and finance. ■
