SINGAPORE, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) rose 15.3 percent year-on-year in March, accelerating from 4 percent growth in the previous month, data from Enterprise Singapore showed on Friday.
Electronic NODX jumped 74 percent, supported by strong demand linked to artificial intelligence and a low base a year earlier, while non-electronic NODX slipped 0.6 percent.
Non-oil re-exports climbed 61.4 percent year-on-year in March, extending a 21.9 percent increase in February, with both electronics and non-electronics posting gains.
Total merchandise trade expanded 38.5 percent in March, following a 13.6 percent rise in the preceding month, as both exports and imports increased. ■
