Kazakhstan's exports up 11.3 pct in first two months of 2026

ALMATY, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan's exports totaled 12.04 billion U.S. dollars in January and February 2026, up 11.3 percent in nominal terms year on year, the Interfax-Kazakhstan News Agency reported on Thursday, citing data from the Bureau of National Statistics.

Imports rose 11.4 percent to 9.64 billion dollars, according to the data.

Earlier, the Ministry of National Economy reported that in the first two months of 2026, total trade turnover went up 11.3 percent to 21.7 billion dollars, with a foreign trade surplus of 2.4 billion dollars.

Kazakhstan's gross domestic product grew 3 percent in the first quarter of 2026.
