TASHKENT, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan's economic growth is projected to remain robust at 6.7 percent in 2026, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said Friday.
According to the Asian Development Outlook report, the country's services sector expanded by 14.7 percent in 2025, while the construction industry grew by 14.2 percent.
"Uzbekistan enters the next two years from a position of strength, supported by resilient domestic demand, high levels of investment, and ongoing structural reforms," said Kanokpan Lao-Araya, ADB country director for Uzbekistan.
Inflation in Uzbekistan is projected to decline to 6.5 percent in 2026, down from 7.3 percent in 2025, the ADB said. The report also said that the country's budget deficit narrowed to 2.1 percent of gross domestic product in 2025. ■
