MANILA, April 6 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines' total agricultural trade in February 2026 reached 2.33 billion U.S. dollars, marking a 3.8 percent increase from the same month a year earlier, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Monday.

The country's balance of trade in agricultural goods remained in deficit at 828.95 million dollars. Of the February 2026 total, agricultural exports were valued at 749.95 million dollars, accounting for 32.2 percent of overall trade. Imports, meanwhile, reached 1.58 billion dollars, making up the remaining 67.8 percent, according to PSA.

Despite annual growth, the agricultural trade value marked the lowest monthly level since June 2025, when the figure was recorded at 2.28 billion dollars, the agency said.
