BAKU, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Azerbaijan has dispatched a third batch of humanitarian aid to Iran, the state news agency AZERTAC reported on Saturday.
The move, aimed at helping meet urgent needs in Iran, followed a phone call on March 8 between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Totaling 200 tonnes, the shipment includes food, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
Noting that Iran is going through a challenging period, Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mojtaba Demirchilou said the convoy reflects the solidarity and support of the Azerbaijani government and people. ■
