SYDNEY, April 3 (Xinhua) -- A 30-year-old man has been charged with murder over a fatal stabbing in western Sydney on Thursday night.
The police force in the state of New South Wales said in a statement on Friday that emergency services were called to reports of a stabbing in Emu Plains, 53 km west of central Sydney, around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a 58-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
He was treated by ambulance paramedics, but could not be revived.
Police established a crime scene, and a 30-year-old man was arrested.
He was taken to a nearby police station and charged with murder as an act of domestic violence. ■
