KABUL, March 31 (Xinhua) -- A total of 32 school buildings have been constructed in central Afghanistan's Bamyan province over the past year to expand access to education, the official Bakhtar news agency reported Tuesday.
According to the report, the project cost more than 164 million afghanis (about 2.56 million U.S. dollars). It also included the installation of solar power systems in nine schools, providing reliable electricity to remote areas.
In addition, thousands of textbooks were distributed to enhance the quality of education for students across the province, the report said.
These initiatives are essential steps to strengthen the education sector and improve learning conditions in Bamyan, reflecting the province's commitment to educational development. ■
