HANOI, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed after a boat capsized in Vietnam's northern province of Tuyen Quang late Sunday, the Vietnam News Agency reported Monday.
The incident occurred at about 10 p.m. when a man, his wife and their son were on a boat and encountered strong winds, causing the vessel to overturn and all three to fall into the water, the report said.
The son managed to swim ashore, while his parents were swept away.
After more than 12 hours of search and rescue efforts, the victims' bodies were found, according to the report. ■
