JAKARTA, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia remains safe from an energy emergency despite escalating tensions in the Middle East, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said on Wednesday.

He confirmed that there are no plans to revise the 2026 state budget or existing fuel subsidy policies.

"Our state budget remains stable. I will not revise the budget or subsidies, even if oil prices may rise sharply," he said.

"If supply stops, that will be a concern. But for now, supplies remain available, so this is not an emergency. We must, however, remain vigilant about future developments," Purbaya added.

The minister stressed that the government will continue to closely monitor global developments while maintaining policy stability.
