KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 (Xinhua) -- The current supply of petrol, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Malaysia remains stable, with no shortages reported, its Domestic Trade and Costs of Living Minister Armizan Mohd Ali said Tuesday.
He clarified that recent rumors of fuel shortages at some stations were due to isolated logistics delays, often lasting a few hours, particularly during festive periods with higher demand.
"These matters have been addressed, and continuous monitoring is in place to ensure smooth supply deliveries," he noted.
He also briefed on the outcomes of the High-Level Coordination Committee Meeting to Combat Fuel Leakage and Smuggling Between Enforcement Agencies, which has been activated to strengthen enforcement efforts in curbing fuel smuggling and diversion, particularly in border areas. ■
