KABUL, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan exported 205,000 tons of dried fruits valued at 667 million U.S. dollars during the Persian calendar year of 1404, which ended on March 20, 2026, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced.
The shipments went primarily to the country's key trade partners, including Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Pakistan, China, France, the Netherlands, Russia, Tajikistan, Britain, Australia and other nations, the official Radio and Television of Afghanistan quoted ministry spokesperson Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad as saying on Sunday.
The exported products included raisins, figs, pistachios, dried apricots, almond nuts, walnut kernels, pine nuts and prunes, according to the official. ■
