KABUL, March 16 (Xinhua) -- A total of 73 development projects worth around 31 million U.S. dollars have been launched in western Afghanistan's Farah province during the past 11 months, the official media Bakhtar news agency reported Monday.
According to the report, the projects cover several sectors, including education, public health, agriculture, environmental protection and social services. Of the total, 42 projects have already been completed, while work on the remaining 31 is still underway.
The initiatives are expected to enhance basic services and improve living conditions for local residents. ■
