BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Government schools in Brunei have 100 percent stable internet connectivity since February 2026, said the country's minister of education on Saturday.

Speaking at the Legislative Council, Hajah Romaizah Haji Md Salleh, Brunei's minister of education, said the initiative ensures that all students across the country can access digital learning resources.

The effort forms part of the Ministry of Education's Digital Transformation Plan 2023-2027, which aims to integrate technology into classrooms and enhance the quality of education for students nationwide.

The minister also highlighted growing Bruneian students' involvement in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) programs.

Participation increased to 12,346 students in 2025, compared with 10,225 students in 2024, representing a 21 percent rise.
