MANILA, March 10 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Tuesday announced a 150-million-U.S.-dollar loan to Indonesian cable television and high-speed broadband internet services provider PT Link Net Tbk (Linknet) to boost digital infrastructure in the country and improve broadband quality.

The financing will also be used to enhance Linknet's stability and enable further investment in the fiber broadband market, aligned with its strategic shift to a business-to-business model.

The ADB said the deal will help communities and businesses access digital tools through Linknet's investment to expand its nationwide fiber-to-the-home network that delivers high-speed internet directly to homes using fiber-optic cables, and advance its open-access wholesale model, which will improve broadband quality, productivity, and participation in the digital economy, particularly for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
