HANOI, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's total retail sales of goods and consumer services reached over 1.23 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 47.3 billion U.S. dollars) in the first two months of 2026, up 7.9 percent year on year, local media VnEconomy reported Monday, citing the National Statistics Office.
According to the office, retail sales of goods amounted to 945.3 trillion Vietnamese dong, accounting for 76.4 percent of the total revenue, while revenue from accommodation and catering services was estimated at 149.2 trillion Vietnamese dong.
Revenue from travel services grew 12.2 percent year on year to 15 trillion Vietnamese dong, driven by growth in domestic and international tourism, the report said. (1 Vietnamese dong equals 0.000038 U.S. dollars) ■
