JAKARTA, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Three Indonesian crew members were missing after a UAE-flagged tugboat caught fire and sank in the Strait of Hormuz on Friday, Antara News Agency reported on Saturday, citing a statement from Indonesia's Foreign Ministry.
The Musaffah 2 tugboat exploded before sinking in the waters between the United Arab Emirates and Oman, according to the statement.
Four Indonesian crew members were on board, one of whom survived and is receiving treatment for burns at a hospital in Oman.
The statement said that authorities in the UAE and Oman are conducting search and rescue operations and investigating the cause of the incident. ■
