DHAKA, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that two Bangladeshi nationals have lost their lives and seven others have sustained injuries due to missile and drone attacks in different parts of the Middle East.
A Bangladeshi national in the United Arab Emirates tragically lost his life after being struck by debris resulting from an aerial attack on a civilian installation, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
It also said that one Bangladeshi national has been killed and three more have been injured in Bahrain.
In Kuwait, the statement said four Bangladeshi nationals sustained injuries following a drone attack in the vicinity of the civilian airport.
The Bangladeshi government reiterated its deep concern over the escalating situation in the Middle East and said it continued to monitor developments closely. ■
