BANGKOK, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Thailand welcomed 3.26 million foreign tourist arrivals in February, marking a 4.63 percent increase compared to a year earlier, official data showed on Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Southeast Asian country generated an estimated 160 billion baht (about 5 billion U.S. dollars) in inbound tourism receipts last month, representing an expansion of 6.06 percent year-on-year.
With arrivals surpassing 1 million, China was the leading source market for the Thai tourism sector during the first two months of 2026, followed by Malaysia and Russia, the ministry said in a statement.
Thailand has recorded over 6.62 million foreign arrivals so far this year, the ministry data showed, with a full-year target of 36.7 million. ■
