KABUL, March 2 (Xinhua) -- A total of 650 Afghan youths have officially joined the national army after completing a military training course, according to a report released on Monday by official media Bakhtar News Agency.
The new recruits received their graduation certificates during a ceremony held to mark the completion of the training program. The training covered a range of military skills, including instruction in the use of both light and heavy weapons, the report said.
The graduation comes as part of significant steps to strengthen the country's defense forces through structured training and recruitment of young personnel.
Such programs aim to enhance the professional capacity of the national army and ensure that new members are prepared to carry out their duties effectively. ■
