PHNOM PENH, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia on Sunday expressed deep concern over the situation in the Middle East, a day after the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a statement that the country calls on all parties concerned to exercise maximum restraint to avoid further escalation that would harm civilian lives and undermine peace.
According to the statement, there is no report of any Cambodian hurt, and all Cambodian nationals who are in the region are advised to take extra precaution for their safety. ■
