HANOI, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and five others were injured in a traffic accident involving a 16-seat car and a sleeper bus in northern Vietnam's Lang Son province, local media VnExpress reported Friday.
The incident occurred at about 5 a.m. local time when the car crashed into the sleeper bus traveling in the opposite direction, leaving one person in the car dead at the scene, while five others were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, the report said.
Following the accident, many passengers from both vehicles left the scene, and local authorities are currently compiling statistics on the total number of people involved.
Visibility was limited at the time of the incident due to fog in the area, according to the report. ■
