HANOI, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and another injured in a collision between a train and a truck in Vietnam's capital Hanoi, the Vietnam News Agency reported late Wednesday.
The accident occurred at around 7:51 p.m. on the North-South railway line passing through Ngoc Hoi Commune, where a train crashed into a truck at a level crossing, the report said, citing local police.
The truck driver died at the scene, while a pedestrian sustained multiple injuries and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
The truck was dragged about 70 meters along the track and was severely damaged. ■
