ISLAMABAD, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Six members of a family were killed and three others injured after unidentified armed men attacked a house in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Wednesday, police said.
The incident took place in the Buleda tehsil of Kech district, where assailants opened indiscriminate fire and fired a mortar round at the house, killing six people, including women and children, police sources said.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, with some reported to be in critical condition.
Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, provincial minister for planning and development, condemned the attack and blamed the banned militant group Balochistan Liberation Army for the assault.
He termed it an attack on innocent civilians and said law enforcement agencies had been mobilized to bring those responsible to justice. ■
