YANGON, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar exported over 370,000 tons of fishery products from April to January of the 2025-26 fiscal year, generating over 559 million U.S. dollars in export earnings, according to the Department of Fisheries on Tuesday.
The export volume declined by about 70,000 tons compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year, Thin Thin Hlaing, staff officer of the Research and Development Division under the department, told Xinhua.
The department is targeting over 700 million dollars in export earnings from fishery products by the end of the current fiscal year, she added. ■
