HANOI, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed in a traffic accident involving a car and two electric motorbikes in northern Vietnam's Hung Yen province on Tuesday morning, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The collision occurred at about 6:40 a.m. local time, when the car crashed into two vehicles traveling in the opposite direction, leaving two students riding on one of the electric motorbikes dead and all three vehicles severely damaged, the report said.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, Vietnam recorded 1,482 road traffic accidents in January, leaving 886 people dead and 905 others injured. ■
