HANOI, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam welcomed about 14 million tourist arrivals during the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday from Feb. 14 to Feb. 22, up 12 percent year on year, Vietnam News Agency reported Monday.
The southern hub of Ho Chi Minh City recorded the highest number of arrivals at about 4.32 million, with tourism revenue reaching 12,150 billion Vietnamese dong (about 468 million U.S. dollars), the report said.
Other destinations attracting large numbers of tourists included the capital Hanoi, the northern provinces of Ninh Binh and Quang Ninh, the central city of Da Nang, and the southern province of An Giang.
Vietnam targets 25 million international arrivals and 150 million domestic visits in 2026. ■
